I've been meaning to big up
Nadine Charles for a while now. A singer/songwriter of some experience, Nadine Charles is someone that you need to witness live to fully appreciate her Soul and artistry. I regret not being able to take in one of her recent live gigs myself, but hopefully there'll be another opportunity soon.
Of course, I'm not saying that her recorded output is sub par, it's just that there doesn't seem to be a lot of it about (let's just ignore the obvious opportunity for 'Carry On-esque' humour here and move on). Of the tracks of hers that are available, I've been playing 'Not My Man', an upbeat stamp of authority produced by Colin Emmanuel, 'Cry Baby', a syrupy swirl through the land of heart break and 'Kisses In The Morning', a free release from a few weeks ago now with accompanying video.
